Role of Puritan Men

The father of the household educates the children spiritually and morally. The husband is the spiritual head of the household. He also works on a farm because his family depended on it. If he didn’t work on a farm he fished or built ships depending on his location. The wives made important decisions with the consent of their husbands. Puritan men wore black clothes and kept their hair short. The women were meant to be dominated by a male figure.
