How Hester Has Changed

Hester Prynne is looked down upon in her town because she has committed adultery. She struggles with accepting this fact. Before her daughter was born Hester described herself as being wild. Her motherhood as made her come to terms with reality in a sense. As the story goes on, Hester overcomes her label in her town and becomes social again. The people in her town gradually start to accept her and her daughter.
